About Dr Jon Baylin

Jon Baylin Ph. D received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University in 1981. He has been working in the mental health field for 35 years. For the past fifteen years, while continuing his clinical practice, he has immersed himself in the study of neurobiology and in teaching practitioners and educators about the brain. Dr. Baylin regularly collaborates with Daniel Hughes and together they co-authored the popular books, ‘Brain Based Parenting’ and ‘The Neurobiology of Attachment-focused Therapy’.

‘Triple Trouble’ refers to a child’s loss of a sense of safety, fragmentation of the sense of self, and suppression of a sense of hope for the future which result from experiences of early life adversity and/or trauma.
