Straying from the Path - Dr Elizabeth Ross
Recognising and Reacting to Harmful Sexual Behaviour in our Children and Youth
Children and young people living in our increasingly digital world are bombarded with messages, images and videos from a very young age. Some of these are harmless but often they contain adult content or themes that our youth are not able to process.
As helping professional, and/or educators, it is important that we learn to recognise Harmful Sexual Behaviour, understand why it happens and equip ourselves with effective strategies to help children and teens develop the skills they need to navigate their normative sexual development safely.
During this workshop Dr Elizabeth Ross will address what HSB is, how to recognise it, and present a range of practical, evidence based interventions and tools to help professionals manage HSB calmly, keep others safe, and prevent it from occurring.
